We’re back for 2023, and we’ve brought along the best band to celebrate with! The Flaming Lips are one of the most beloved psychedelic and indie rock bands of the last 30 years, and late last year they celebrated the 20th anniversary of their brilliant Grammy Award-winning record ‘Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots’. In today’s episode, we’re speaking with frontman Wayne Coyne about the making of the record, Christmas movies, laser hands (and the time someone in Perth stole them), their wild live shows, and the song they wrote for one Mr. Jack White.
