Indie singer-songwriter Lizzy McAlpine is our guest today! The Philadelphia native has been writing music for years and found success in 2020 with her folky debut record Give Me A Minute, which saw her receive praise from artists like Shawn Mendes and Phoebe Bridgers. She's now following it up this week with her second studio record, entitled five seconds flat. In today's episode, we're speaking with Lizzy about her approach to detailed lyric writing, collaborating with Finneas for this record and why she wanted to create a short film for five seconds flat.
