Charlie Hickey joins us on the podcast today! The LA-based singer-songwriter claims some of his heroes to be Elliot Smith, Conor Oberst, and The 1975, and this week he's releasing his debut record Nervous At Night. In today's episode, we're speaking to Charlie about his upbringing in a musical family, inspirations for Nervous at Night, signing to Saddest Factory Records (which is the label run by Phoebe Bridgers), what the Pasadena music scene is like, and we discuss the music of The National and Bright Eyes.
