November 25th, 1950 and this was the Canadian football championship game played between the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Grey Cup has been part of the Canadian pro football scene since as far back as 1909, when the trophy itself was donated by Governor General Earl Grey for the Canadian football championship.
