The Yukon Quest! It is unforgiving and treacherous and as challenging as it is life-threatening, and still this sled dog race has been regularly scheduled every February since 1984 to run between Fairbanks, Alaska, and Whitehorse, Yukon. During the 2006 edition of this race, brutal weather trapped five Yukon Quest mushers on Eagle Summit ….on February 12th ....on this day in weather history.
