On this Day in Weather History, spring is as much a pain in the grapes to vineyards as it is to us with the ever-changing conditions and that irritating blend of seasons to provide a messy mix of temperatures, dewpoints, pressure gradients and precip types. The worst of all is frost; a threat that has the potential to destroy an entire crop of grapes before it even begins.
