In 1989, Montreal mascot angered Los Angeles manager Tommy Lasorda and was ejected from the game by the third base umpire.

In 1982, Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry was ejected from a baseball game for throwing a spitball. It was the only time in his career he was tossed for doctoring a baseball.

In 1936, 17-year old Bob Feller made his major league debut, struck out 15 and won.

And in 1957, the Little League Baseball Team from Monterrey, Mexico became the first non-American team to win the Little League World Series.
