On May 30, 2024, it was reported that a stubborn mule in rural Nebraska caused quite a stir when it wandered onto the runway of a small, private airfield. Maintenance worker Jake Tanner was fueling a single-engine Cessna when he noticed the mule calmly munching grass next to the tarmac.
