Ms. Horne is a three-time winner of the San Diego Metropolitan Opera National Council in 2011, 2012, and 2013. In 2014, Ms. Horne was the second-place winner of the San Diego Musical Merit vocal competition. In 2012, Ms. Horne was the grand prize winner of the Virginia and Susan Hawk Memorial Scholarship vocal competition and the recipient of an Opera Buffs grant.
