In this part 1 of 2, Joel uses the old hymn by  Frances R. Havergal (1874), "Take My Life And Let It Be" as a jumping-off point for discussing why he believes there is not much hope for the American Church as it stands today. Joel discusses things like Senior Pastor culture and the saturation of "one foot in, one-foot out-ism" within the church.
