Summer Solstice Sister Circle: Reclaiming Space, Sisterhood, and Solace

(Inspired by the book The Red Tent)

The ancient world was egalitarian and matriarchal for 95% of its existence. Then patriarchy and colonization restructured the world. But what it could not change was the fact that women who lived together synced cycles. And during that week that they bled, they entered "the red tent", a place where they left the world and demands of men outside and fed themselves: mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. They breathed. They rested. They spoke their minds. They did self care, and they supported and encouraged one another. They took up space unapologetically.
