In this week's episode, we're talking about how when unexpected events happen, there is a felt sense of openness to what is and within it is a wellspring of wellbeing - of joy.
Parker talks about his experience getting T-boned in his car and experiencing that moment of total okayness, free from the tether of fear that seems to instantly follows defining the experience.
It is our nature to be open to what happens. It is our thinking, our beliefs that get in the way.
In the immediacy of the unexpected, we are open. The ego can't get traction and we're instantly open to life and all the ways that life is always taking care of us.
It could be a sunset or the smile on our child's face, and suddenly we are totally present and joy rises up - life is living through us as freedom and joy and our natural knowing that we have everything we need to deal with what is happening at this moment, this experience.
There is always a yes, behind the no the mind spins out. The yes is our natural trust in life, in our innate being. When we get caught up in wishing something different was happening than what is, we close off from the immediacy of joy available when we're living moment to moment in the immediacy of what is actually happening.
Life is always guiding us toward our highest good. And more than that, the wellbeing of life living through all of us - for all of our wellbeing.
It doesn't need to take a catastrophe to feel that freedom and joy of immediacy, we can do it now, this moment. Pause and turn our attention back around toward the source of our experience - our being. And be knowingly aware of our self experiencing whatever is happening. Just this turn around is enough to release us from the bondage of a fearful belief system for just this NOW is joy and freedom.
