In this episode, we discuss mind training and establishing a daily habit of setting your mind to love and establishing regular, even hourly reminders. Then learning to pay attention to your yummy-stat and turn the dial from icky to yummy.
If we really want to live from our true nature as love- If we want a yummy life of present joy, we must make an uncompromising decision to consistent, ongoing practice of attending to the way we feel and the thinking that accompanies it -- and change our minds to think with love -
Parker asks me about my daily practice for nearly 40 years -- I share a how I started a daily practice, what has worked for me and the things I do to shift from icky to yummy -- from fear back to love and the peace of living in present joy
When we experience upset of any kind, it is an indicator from our true being that something about the way we are interpreting what's happening is out of alignment with the truth of who we are. We get instantaneous feedback. It feels icky.
It is our deepest desire to feel good - Yummy. Wellbeing is the natural flow of life as well as our natural tendency. It is only our judging what's happening as not what we want that throws a wrench in the flow.
We're habitual creatures. When we've spent a lifetime reacting to what's happening and interpreting from a survival perspective, that's what we've practiced. It seems most real to us. Like we don't have a choice. But we do. We decide.
Establishing a new, love-based habit requires consistent practice -- understanding isn't enough -- it is the application of attuning to love - of watching our minds for unloving thoughts, judgments, resistance, then changing our minds, over and over, is how we make a permanent shift.
And the more we establish ourselves, our way of thinking and seeing the world in our true nature as love the less we're willing to tolerate not being true to ourselves. And the more feeling yummy, saying yes to what life is bringing us becomes a way of life.
Have a yummy week & a yummy day!
