Aladdin (Asset, Liability and Debt and Derivative Investment Network) is BlackRock's comprehensive investment management platform that currently manages over $21 trillion in assets—approximately 10% of the world's financial assets. The system tracks about 30,000 investment portfolios and is used by over 200 institutions, including pension funds, banks, and major corporations.

Aladdin operates on a sophisticated technology stack including Linux, Java, Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes, and various other enterprise technologies, with one data center consisting of around 6,000 computers. The platform uses Monte Carlo simulations and historical data analysis to provide risk management, portfolio evaluation, and stress testing capabilities.
