The Beers return this week to review Paul Thomas Anderson’s 21st Century masterpiece THERE WILL BE BLOOD.
Starting off the show with Rog giving a special shoutout to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Lake Superior (3:37), Dylan then gives his review of Max Wolf Friedrich’s gripping new psychological thriller, Job, a must-see play now running on Broadway through October 2024 (6:19). The Beers do not stray far from PTA though, offering their opinions on THERE WILL BE BLOOD v. NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN (47:05) while also paying respects to movies from 2007-2014, a seven-year period in time which Rog regards as “A beautiful time for cinema” (52:45). The Beers wrap up this episode ranking their Top 5 Paul Thomas Anderson movies and his films’ impact on them individually (1:01:55).
