This week the beers met for a morning recording session, and responsibly chose coffee from George’s Cantina in Astoria for their drink of choice. The beers start things off with their thoughts on the latest season of HBO’s ‘True Detective’ with a review and breakdown of the fourth season, ’True Detective: Night Country’ (2:37). All the talk of the latest season inspires the beers to recap what makes the first season of ‘True Detective’ the one season that is in a league of its own (13:34). Next, the beers review the 80s Wim Wenders classic ‘Paris Texas’ (20:38). To make up for not recommending a black-made film in the last episode (a promise made for every show recorded in February), the beers offer their recommendations for ‘Rustin’, ‘The Color Purple’, and ‘Cadillac Records’ (33:17). Lastly, the beers wrap up the show addressing all the shenanigans going on in New York City so far in 2024 (39:49). Now sip back and enjoy the show!
