Definition: A response is a reaction to a question, experience, or some other type of stimulus.
Scripture: Romans 12:16-20
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

We all have to counter our natural inclination to negatively respond to negativity, with the conditioning power of the WORD, mixed with a healthy dose of PRAYER, while wearing our Warriors attire (Phillippians 6: 11-17) and then we will be equipped to STAND! while the Lord fights our battle. After all, didn't He create all that we are fighting for and against? And since God knows all, wouldn't He know all the short cuts, all the ways of the enemy and all the plays in the haters' play book.
Thank you, Lord....the battle is not mine....it is yours!
