Definition: 1. a feeling of pleasure and satisfaction that you get because you or people connected with you have done or received something good. 2, your feelings of your own self-worth and respect for yourself: overwhelming self-esteem
Scripture:
Proverbs 11:2 - “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”
Jeremiah 9:23–24 - "Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”
I am proud to have a relationship with God which keeps my pride in check.
