Definition: Not giving the offender the outcome that is deserved. A blessing that is an act of divine favor or compassion. Compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone whom it is within one's power to punish or harm
Scripture:
Lamentations 3:22-23 - “It is of the Lord 's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.”
James 2:13 - “Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
Hebrews 4:16 - “Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
