Discovering My Whole Voice (Allie's Story)

In this episode, I’m sharing my story! (A rare occasion. ;))

As a singer born into a family of musicians, discovering my whole voice has been quite the journey. From performing as an opera singer, choral artist, and pop artist in Southern California to drastically losing my voice during my vocal graduate studies, the definition of the word ‘voice’ has taken many meanings in my life.

I’ve had to learn an important lesson as a singer: my voice is not my identity.

While undergoing an intensive recovery gaining strength back in my vocal cords, I began the practice of tuning inward to listen to my inner voice. In the space of silence came the revelations that led me to where I am today.
