The small rural town of Much Wenlock in Shropshire provided the inspiration for what would become a sporting behemoth. The modern Olympic Games has travelled the world providing inspiration to many. However, it came from humble beginnings when a Frenchman in 1896 helped to organise the event that has become the template for the most watched international sporting event in the world.
