The unexpected benefits of full-day kindergarten with Bill Jaeger

This week we sat down to talk to our Vice President of Early Childhood and Policy Initiatives about Colorado’s ambitious plan to provide full-day kindergarten to all Colorado kids. We were surprised what we didn’t know about this long-time priority of educators and advocates. Bill explained how Gov. Jared Polis’ budget proposal would fully fund full-day kindergarten and expand preschool significantly throughout the state, all within existing tax revenue due to the strong economy. We also learned some surprising things about how full-day K would impact child care, school districts and more. What would funding full day-kindergarten mean for Colorado?
