Phil spoke on how Jesus expertly leads his disciples (and us) through a process of Invitation and challenge into a deeper relationship with himself. Jesus reinterprets the law of Moses to reveal the intentionality of hearts. He squeezes us in the Gospel Vice until we realise we can't live up to the standard of holiness required, and that we can only do his will through his grace gift of a relationship with himself.
