Phil gave a summary overview of the beatitudes as a Kingdom revolution, speaking on how they serve to point us toward the Kingdom and keep us on track. The blessings lie in the fruit that each beautiful attitude bears. They are the natural outflow of following Jesus and lead us to eternal life. The opposite is life in 'the flesh' which leads to death.
