Andy spoke about the cost of love, that we cannot love without experiencing pain and loss, but in the end it is all worth it. If we numb out the pain then we lose the joy. The OT prophets describe Gods mourning and pain, but also his great joy, hope, and promise of comfort. There is a suffering unique to followers of Christ.
