We like to say that we often compare our financial health to our physical health. We never think we’re in incredibly poor shape, but we know there are areas that we could improve. Our guest on today’s show, Dr. Lance Ellis, began to see the correlation between the two after he had a heart attack in his 40s while on a ski trip with his wife.
Dr. Ellis is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon out of Waco, Texas. He explains how he thought he was doing the right things to secure his financial freedom, but in reality he was just doing what other people had told him to do. Despite his investments in Roth IRAs and 401ks, he discovered two key problems with these investments: the money was almost completely illiquid and the growth rate wasn’t significant.
Dr. Ellis then talks about how he discovered IBC through Joey and Russ and how he is now taking the right steps to secure his financial freedom. This is a great episode for those who think their finances are “fine” and how to turn them into something you can live comfortably off of!
