I feel profoundly honored to have Fred Mitour, PhD, as my first guest in this new era of the Voices of Wisdom Project. Internationally known for his groundbreaking somatic therapy, Fred created Pacific School of Massage in 1978 and has healed thousands of people with his Transformational Bodywork over the last 50+ years.
In this episode, Fred shares how, as we work deeply with our bodies – which he sees as “the clay of God” – we can begin to contact the karma and suffering of our ancestors, the psychic and spiritual wounds that have been stored in our tissues and transmitted through our DNA. By entering into the somatic world, we can go on a journey of transformation that heals not only our personal ancestors but the collective human condition – allowing a fresh, new world to open up for ourselves and for our communities.
