The Valley Current®: Will the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) Work?

Over the past decade, FinCEN (Financial Crimes Enforcement Network) has been responsible for a lot of reporting about financial accounts, but recently FinCEN has been trying to keep track of who owns what businesses. This affects corporations, LLCs and other entities. In response to new regulations, FinCEN just issued a FAQ regarding what is and isn’t exempt around ownership structures, trusts and privacy strategies.
