Blue star family designation started back in WW1 as a way for families to show support and recognition of active duty family members serving in a combat zone.
We talk about how that has evolved today. How to recognize and Blue and Gold Star families? How can we honor them?
We briefly talk about the organization Blue Star Families and how it differs and what their mission is.
