Hi There, welcome to this week’s episode of The Universe Is Your Friend!
Today I am telling you guys all about my recent success with changing my lifestyle, routines and habits and how it has surprisingly brought me leaps and bounds in my self-development journey.
We have all heard the famous saying, “if you want to change your life, start by changing your day.”
Well, recently I have learned just how true the saying is. Over the last two months, I’ve been dedicating myself to accomplishing small goals and lifestyle changes each day. Like:
- Waking up earlier and to my first alarm
- Drinking 2 liters of water minimum
- Stretching my body each morning
- Doing a Gua-Sha face massage once a day
These small and very manageable lifestyle changes had a very quick compound effect, which led me to naturally making larger and more daunting lifestyle changes. Such as:
- Completing a full-body routine at the gym 4-5 times a week (each day focuses on different muscle groups, I’m not the Hulk)
- Eating a calorie deficit ‘diet’ (though it doesn’t really feel like a diet)
- Creating a more structured work routine
And all of this happened so naturally, it has me looking back at the last few months of my life wondering where all this progress came from!
The idea that if you want to change your life, to start by changing your day is so powerful because of the momentum and fulfillment that you build by achieving small and seemingly insignificant goals. When you achieve any goal or positive lifestyle change, no matter how big or small, you feel a sense of drive, pride, passion and thirst for more. Which leads you to making more impactful progress, and the cycle repeats.
Over the last two months I have felt an increasing amount of joy, positivity, excitement, passion and ambition each day. I feel the positive effects it’s had on my physical and mental health, as well as the brand new inspiration to present myself better, take up new hobbies, be more social and enjoy a luxurious lifestyle.
