I’m thrilled to introduce you to a friend, teacher & inspiration, Rebby Kern. Rebby (they/them) identifies as a non-binary trans person of color. Rebby is a Yoga Instructor, Trainer, Facilitator, Content Creator, Podcast host of the “Fully Integrated Podcast”, co-founder of the Trans Yoga Project & they are also involved in education policy work with Equality North Carolina.

In this podcast we have conversations about race, faith, privilege, etc., that could be triggering for some & that’s ok, I urge you to listen anyway.

These are conversations I want to be having on the podcast. I want to use this podcast to educate, inspire & amplify voices of people who are different than me & who are underrepresented. I want to dismantle systems of harm & create more peace in the world.

This work can be beautiful & it can also get messy. I’ll be the first to admit, I make mistakes. In that scenario I think it’s important to say “I’m sorry, I”ll do better” (this is me saying “I’m sorry - I’ll do better”) & continue to do the work of love, equality & connection.

Topics of discussion:

  • LGBTQ community

  • Living in the south as a non binary trans person of color

  • Gender roles & gender bias

  • Finding community & empowerment through yoga & not seeing men & women of color as leaders

  • White privilege, white fragility & spiritual bypassing

  • The power of questioning your inherited beliefs

  • The Yamas & Niyamas

  • And so much more
