In this episode we preview NBC’s new comedy The Carmichael Show. It stars Jerrod Carmichael, Amber West (Greek), David Alan Grier (In Living Color) and Loretta Devine (Boston Public).

It’s about a guy that has just moved in with his girlfriend, she who is studying to be a therapist, and their generational clash with his overbearing parents and dealings with his directionless brother.

The Carmichael Show feels both retro, like a ’90s sitcom developed around a stand-up, and oddly topical in that it tackles social issues of the present.
