India attacks civilian sites with missiles, and Pakistan responds by targeting military sites

Tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply escalated following India’s launch of Operation Sindoor, a series of strikes that reportedly targeted what New Delhi called terror training camps in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and in Pakistan proper. At least 29 people have been killed across both sides of the Line of Control. India claims it was targeting militant infrastructure, while Islamabad condemns the strikes, saying they hit civilian areas and mosques, and calling the operation an act of war.
