The executors of Jeffrey Epstein’s estate—Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn—have filed motions in the U.S. Virgin Islands court requesting that Ghislaine Maxwell’s pending lawsuit be dismissed. They cited procedural lapses, noting that Maxwell has been without legal representation for over a year, despite multiple court orders to secure new counsel, and has failed to advance the case properly. As a result, the estate argues, the lawsuit should be thrown out for failure to prosecute.

In parallel filings, estate lawyers have also pushed for dismissal on the merits of Maxwell’s claims, contending that her assertions of entitlement—such as indemnification or advancement of legal expenses—are not supported by the estate’s governing documents. They argue that the estate is not contractually obligated to cover her costs, and that her suit lacks any legal foundation under the terms of Epstein’s will and estate governance.
