We’re talking eye removal, lung snippets, a severed finger, and even a grotesque “smile” slashed into Romero’s face—an abomination that would clear any cell block in seconds, yet somehow escaped notice.

But the real shocker? Prison guards walked right by the carnage, then falsely logged that both inmates were alive during their overnight rounds—blatantly ignoring the trauma hidden behind a white sheet draped over the cell bars. When the horror was finally discovered, Osuna was found wearing a necklace made of his victim’s body parts. The fallout has exposed glaring incompetence—skeleton keys to discipline were misplaced, investigations botched, and the Department of Corrections has been accused of hiding misconduct behind a “veil of secrecy.”
