We have more distractions than at any other time in history.
And the biggest distraction for most of us is the little pocket computer we carry around with us everywhere we go (even the toilet, so I've heard).
When that phone pings or vibrates, the urge to check what that notification relates to is a string.
And even when it's simply sat there, not moving, not making a sound, the urge to pick it up anyway and find something to distract us is compelling.
So how do you deal with distractions, especially the digital kind?
Well, if you said discipline, that's not a wrong answer. I just don't think it's the most effective one.
