As a frequent visitor to Asia, I will typically stop over for a few days in Phuket, Thailand.
Located in the Andaman Sea, just west of Thailand, Phuket offers much.

- Nightlife
- Cost effectiveness
- Great ethnic food
- Rich culture
- Historical sites
- Safety
- Singha, Leo and Chang beer 😊
For the ex-pats who live there, of which there are many, there is excellent health care and an excellent standard of living.
Thai people are very welcoming, friendly and lovable people.
It is one of my "Happy Places". I have 2 or 3 of them around the world.
If you are in Asia for any reason, stop over in Phuket for a few days, or just book a week or two there. No regrets.
