This week, Ivy discusses her diagnosis of C-PTSD & Borderline Personality Disorder, what it is actually like to be diagnosed, and how harmful it can be to use BPD as a stand in for "unstable" or "crazy".
Borderline personality disorder, BPD, is an emotion dysregulation disorder characterized by unstable moods, behavior, and relationships.
The cause of borderline personality disorder isn't well understood. Diagnosis is made based on symptoms. Symptoms include emotional instability, feelings of worthlessness, insecurity, impulsivity, and impaired social relationships.
