A marketing message that many trainers and gyms will tap into is the idea of "Functional Training".
Straight up lets address this. There is no such thing as functional training. The outcome of your training is what is functional.
If you need to develop strength, use tools to help you develop strength. If you need more muscle mass, use tools that help you build muscle. Simple right?
So lets forget "Functional Training" and use training simply as a tool to get an outcome that will either help you in your sport or life.
