A perfect plan on paper does not mean that you will get the results you expect without effort. I often say to people do not get crippled by perfectionism as it will significantly slow down your progress, just start and figure things out as you go.


Reason being I would much rather someone show up daily putting in effort towards your goals and just start. Making changes to your training is something you will continue to do over the years and is given. The linchpin that holds it all together is the effort put towards these goals not a perfect plan.


Now this doesn't disregard great training programs as they are absolutely essential for long term progress, they are just not something to be crippled by when starting out as there are many more low hanging fruit to approach first.
