Today, The Texan is celebrating its 5th anniversary of providing Texas with news you can trust.
To celebrate, Senior Editor McKenzie DiLullo sat down with CEO and Founder Konni Burton to talk about the history of the company and staying true to our mission.
“I don’t believe that the media is here to tell the average citizen what or how to think,” said Burton. “The media’s job is to report so that people can read the whole story, see what the issue is about, understand the issue, and then think for themselves and make their own decisions for themselves.”
Plus, we give an inside look into what life is like behind the doors of our office.
“If I don’t laugh a lot, I will curl up in a ball and cry, because politics is maddening. Laughter is important to keep you sane and get you through it,” said Burton. “I’ve been very pleased to see that The Texan’s staff believes that as well.”
