A photo editor from Elle magazine migrates from Germany to the US to escape the stereotypical fashion industry while building an architectural photography business. Beate's top employee tries to steal her business from under her feet, leading to a costly lawsuit, while the US market crashes and her business loses half a million dollars overnight.
