On this episode I share some simple things to keep in mind while talking with kids about tragedy. Taken from the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, these steps will help you have conversations with your kids that support healing, compassion and empowerment. Learning to have hard conversations and show up for our kids during moments of tragedy can be really humbling and it can be one of the biggest gifts we offer our kids. It's worth navigating the stress we feel to help them process their grief, fear and overwhelm.
