Emma Pell and Gracie Packard share their story of college, Covid, courage, dance parties, and a glass of sangria on the Porch today. Each generation experienced the beginning of covid from a different perspective. This is the story of two close friends in a foreign country trying to find their way home during the first few days of the world-wide shut down at the beginning of the global pandemic of 2020. They had no idea what they would face them when they started their study-abroad program in early 2020. This story is a bit longer than our other stories; so much impact is in this story from Emma and Gracie that we at the Porch knew we couldn't cut anything out.
