24. From the Gods to the Theatre Stage with Joe Conlan

One of the best know faces in Irish Theatre, Joe Conlan speaks to me in this episode, he uses rich, and descriptive language to share stories of his childhood; raised in a warm and loving home he also tells of the trauma he faced in school but the freedom he found on summer holidays. 

Joes talks about his career in the theatre and how as a child he'd sit in the Upper Grand Circle (the Gods) of the Gaiety Theatre, dreaming of appearing on its stage and how now he's the nucleus of the Gaiety's famous Christmas Panto.
