Southern Ground | Tagged Out: 2018 Rutcation Recap

Thank you for tuning in to the Southern Ground Hunting Podcast. This week Parker and his buddy Cody Phillips are recapping one of the best “Rutcation” hunting trips that Parker has had the opportunity to take. Parker and his dad loaded up the kayaks, the bass tracker, and their camping gear last week, in hopes of getting on two respectable Alabama public land bucks. Everything fell perfectly into place, the stars aligned, and they completed their goals. Parker goes into detail about the tactics that were used, and how he believes that using “beast” tactics is what killed these bucks.

These two bucks are a great testament to the phrase “Hard Work Pays Off”. Pre Season scouting, cyber scouting with OnX, & knowing the right time to be in the woods is imperative to being successful on high pressured public land. You can get lucky every once in a while, but to consistently kill good bucks is truly something that takes a lot of dedication. Hopefully this podcast inspires and motivates you to get out there and make it happen in your own neck of the woods.

• Don’t use an AR 15 for deer hunting. Too many variables.
