Early Season Public Land Strategies

This week we’re recapping the recent trip that Parker took to Kentucky, hunting public land velvet bucks with a bow. Drew Robbins & Jared Shaffer join the conversation, talking about some of the tactics and strategies that were used to kill 2 velvet bucks on the trip. If you’ve been following Southern Ground, you know that Parker has struggled to find success in Kentucky. This year was no different! However, he was able to make things happen on his first velvet buck. Jared talks about his quick success and what he thinks led him to take his buck early in the trip. The guys talk about food sources, hunting pressure, bedding and a lot more things that need to be considered when hunting in early September on public land.
