On this beautiful warm peaceful Sunday afternoon here in Oregon, I wanted to break down what we're all about, and talk about the times we're in today, and how we might be able to strengthen kindness, community, and decency, if we just drop the attitudes and egos, and this pervasive desire to always be right all the time, always trying to own and dunk on each other, instead of helping one another and lifting each other up, or tending to our own needs. We should instead be finding our own comfort and clarity, seeking good mental and physical health, robust fitness, and more sustainable outcomes, despite the very real challenges, and despite the world's immaturity, game playing, and constant distractions.
Pound for pound, the working class and the working poor have a harder time maintaining good mental health and robust living than than higher income earners. This leads to poor coping mechanisms and bad mental health, greater instances of substance abuse, and more bad decision making. Therefore, it becomes instrumental that regular people, just like us, learn better ways of dealing with the very real struggles in these difficult times, while somehow preserving our sense of humor and a lasting sense of calm! Just because we're normal folks with regular jobs and less extravagant lives doesn't mean that we have to become a statistic and fall down into a rabbit hole of darkness and despair!
Regular working people have many unprecedented and surmounting challenges these days, but that doesn't mean we should allow our lives to unravel just because things have become more complex and challenging! Excellent mental health, good fitness, and sustainable living aren't just meant for the elite or the wealthy. Here, I talk about our sociopolitical culture that is exploiting the working class, and how all the stressors and division out there is bad just for us, and how we're all being sort of abandoned by our culture and society, having most people searching for answers and better clarity and solutions. It's not an impossibility, but we have to constantly reset and work on things, always keeping up on things until we find personal meaning and purpose in order to find our stride!
