A Fresh New Start Post Election; Sometimes Turning a New Leaf Requires Growing a Whole New Tree.

This election was a serious drag on many people's mental health, and it will require many of us who want positive forward movement and change to abruptly have to figure out how to live and be healthy in the upcoming (gag) Trump years, because we fear the chaos and craziness that's likely coming in (sigh, vomit!) the Trump presidency. He's pretty much told us what he wants to do, and it's absurd, and will likely tear down many societal, institutional, and democratic norms. But please don't despair! Here, Rebecca and I speak very candidly about how we're processing politics moving forward, how to step away from it for our sanity and mental health, while not unplugging from the fight completely, and where to go from here.

This episode is more about how to deal with life, mental health, and politics moving forward in the aftermath of the election, than it is about politics itself; and how we activists and democracy and normalcy loving folks can move forward and cultivate healthy coping mechanisms, better life skills, and to forge happiness moving forward. This will likely be our last political adjacent show for a little while, as we move on to better and more positive things moving forward. Topics that are more in our wheelhouse, like #spookylife, #nerdlife, and #empathlife, and yes, we're always going to be about good #mentalhealth and more robust living for regular working-class folks. While we're political activists, the best thing we all can do right now is to maximize our other interests, mentally prepare for the clown show that's coming, and use this time wisely to enrich and fortify our own personal lives, fitness, and finances.

Hang in there you guys. Life gets pretty effing weird sometimes, but you're not alone! There's at least half of America, and many people from other democratic leaning countries who feels the way you feel. We'll get through this and come out better on the other side together.
