Today we're discussing chapter two of Social Emotional Learning and the Brain by Marilee Sprenger. Chapter two is about cultivating empathy in our students. We go over the different types of empathy (cognitive, emotional, and compassionate) and specific strategies for for developing empathy. Speech therapists, educators, and parents will all benefit from learning these strategies!
